£5 flat fee again. Can't complain about that.

The lake was very very quiet all through 2008, not helped by the dreadful weather mind you, where every Friday & Monday seemed to be sunny, with torrential rain & gales in between. Or so it seemed to me anyway. Got very little use from the boat this year, apart from weekly checks ups. Sentiments echoed from the boatyards too.

Next year will be 'interesting' - I expect boating will either be very quiet (no money around) or very busy (lots of people with time on their hands - bit like the golden days of rock climbing back in the 70's !).

Cheers all, keep on splashing  Grin

At a recent talk by a representative of the LDPNA on the proposed extension of the national parks round here he also mentioned, in passing that significant pressure was building for  further public consultation re : 10mph limit on Windermere. Apparently changes - past & forthcoming - in the role of the National parks give 'inclusivness' & 'recreational activities' a higher priority than before.

I think I'll keep the V8 in good fettle then.

Maybe in 10 years time ...... Wink
