I am selling 3 of my Alby boats, as follows:

1. Continental (1152). Mechanically & electrically excellent. Ready to go!
GOOD BITS. Seaworthy with rebuilt Ford xflow 1600GT (90bhp), dry sumped. All new electrics, using marine grade tinned copper wire, with relays & fusebox & guages (full set). New Jabsco raw water pump (old Stewart pump available for the purists out there). New propeller in perfect balance & undamaged. Bilge & blower pumps fitted.
Automatic fire extinguisher. Top speed, around 40 mph and pulls very well for skiing. On an original type refurbished trailer with new axles, in very good condition. Full length PVC cover, also in good condition. All original deck fittings.
BAD BITS. Deck needs repainting as it's faded. Sides OK but could do with touch up. Needs new seats.

See it in action (the 2nd boat in the clip - Sorry!, the 1st is DEFINITELY not for sale) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZSq48unEQI

2. Continental (1227). Relatively easy refurbishment project. Dry stored & untouched for 3 years (not enough time).
GOOD BITS. The hull is generally in good sound condition with an interesting paint job! Dark blue sides & professionally done wood effect 'planked' deck. It's got a Ford xflow 1600 engine . Decent propeller & rudder. The red seats are in excellent condition & match the paintwork beautifully. All original Albatross bits intact, but steering gear modified to rack type. Excellent original trailer, but needs new tyres.
BAD BITS. Original electrics really need replacing. Somebody has cut a HUGE (& utterly pointless) hole in the back seat to access the engine. No cover.

3. Alpine Slipper Stern (2000). Refurbishment project. This unique boat was the prototype for the Alpine slipper stern boats, the last production models made( last known no. 2026).
GOOD BITS. Hull in excellent condition. Rebuilt Rootes Sunbeam Alpine 1725cc engine with the standard twin SU carbs, new exhaust manifold & original bell housing. New propeller. Rudder & prop shaft in good condition. Original type trailer in reasonably sound condition.
BAD BITS. No windscreen or brackets. Missing one rear deck cleat. No seats or cover. Needs stripping back to bare metal & repainting. Somebody has cut a HUGE (& utterly pointless) hole in the back seat to access the engine. No cover.

I have loads of pictures available to email. Please contact my Dad, jonathan@maintel.com to arrange viewing or for a chat. In a few weeks time, I'll be putting these on ebay if unsold, but I'd rather they went to enthusiasts.

If you have any pictures of the last boat (above) or information on its current ownership or whereabouts, I would be interested.

As far as I'm aware, the Sunbeam Alpine marine engine was only built by The Rootes Group in its original Series I 1,494cc incarnation and not in its Series V 1,724cc version. Neither had SU carburettors, the Series I having twin Zeniths and the Series V having twin Strombergs so the SUs certainly weren't "standard".
